The Calvert House Inn is one of the oldest, family-owned restaurants and caterers in the metropolitan area. We prepare our fresh, traditional, and delicious homemade Maryland recipes for your Wedding, Rehearsal or other special event, and our menus can be tailored to meet your needs.

We offer a Cocktail Reception or a full Seated Reception. Please let us know what you would like for your special day and we will gladly customize the menu according to your tastes.

Cocktail Reception

Stuffed Mushroom Caps
Medium sized mushrooms topped with imperial crab and broiled to perfection.

Shrimp Cocktail
Delicious jumbo shrimp with mild seasonings. Served warm with cocktail sauce.

Chicken Salad
Fresh chicken salad mixed with pickles, carrots, peas and mayonnaise.

Stuffed Grape Leaves
Seasoned rice wrapped in grape leaves and marinated in olive oil.

Fresh House Salad
Mixed greens.

Chicken Kabob
All natural, marinated chicken breast on a skewer.

Beef Kabob
Marinated tender pieces of Certified Hereford beef on a skewer.

Crab Cake
The Calvert House original recipe, full of flavor and backfin & jumbo lump crab.
Lightly broiled to perfection.

Broiled Salmon
Fresh from the sea. Broiled with lemon, butter, and a touch of white wine.

Sauteed Scallops
Fresh sea scallops basted in garlic, cream, olive oil, wine and fine herbs.
Served over your choice of basmati rice or pasta.

Certified Hereford Filet Mignon
Succulent and juicy tenderloin, grilled to just the right temperature.

Certified Hereford New York Strip Steak
Grilled to perfection and topped with sauteed mushrooms.

Chicken Florentine
Chicken breast, with mushrooms, spinach, garlic, olive oil, and cream.

Chicken Tarragon
Tender pieces of chicken breast in a cream tarragon sauce.

Grilled Korubuta
12oz Bone-in rack pork chops. Darker in color with small, fine streaks of marbling that make each cut sweet, tender and juicy. Served with apple marsala sauce.

Served with mixed vegetables.
